Mariah & Jacob
I was absolutely honored to document the beauty and love of Mariah and Jacob’s special day! They were so wonderful to work with, and they had the most amazing connection that made them so easy to capture.
They were both so sweet and appreciative! Mariah made sure that I had gotten a chance to eat, and Jacob thanked me for making photos so easy for them. Although personally, I think they were the ones that made it so easy with how adorable they are together!
To Mariah and Jacob:
Thank you so much for choosing me to photograph such a special day for you both! Wishing you all the love and happiness in the world, you guys are perfect together.

The Wedding Day
GETTING READY
Everyone was finishing up getting ready when I arrived, which meant that everything was fairly stress free. Mariah and her bridesmaids all had matching pajamas, so of course we had to do some PJ pictures! Then, while the girls were finishing up with getting ready I grabbed some detail shots of her dress and the gorgeous venue. My second photographer hung out with the guys and got some super cool shots while they were doing finishing touches!
FIRST LOOK
Mariah and Jacob chose to not do a first look together, but Mariah did want to do one with her dad. First looks with dad are one of my favorites, it’s always such a touching moment to capture. When Mariah tapped him to turn him around, it was the sweetest moment, his reaction was priceless.
CEREMONY
Since they didn’t do a first look, the ceremony was the first time that Jacob would see Mariah that day. His reaction was absolutely priceless. If my future husband doesn’t react that way, I’m turning around and walking down again (I’m kidding, of course). There were so many emotions and many teary eyed guests during their ceremony, you could just feel the love.
Mariah and Jacob made their ceremony special with a couple highlights: flower grannies instead of flower girls (I’m 100% here for this!) and their little ring bearer made the choice to walk down the aisle backwards. I have a feeling that wasn’t the plan, but it made it special nonetheless.
When the ceremony was over, they had all the guests line up for them to walk through the middle and say hello to everyone!
BRIDAL PARTY
Since the couple didn’t do a first look, full bridal party photos weren’t done until after the ceremony. We did get to do separate bridal party photos before the ceremony, which helped us get through photos quicker after the ceremony. Mariah & Jacob’s bridal party was super chill and fun, willing to try whatever ideas we had! Those are always my favorite type of bridal parties to capture.
BRIDE & GROOM PORTRAITS
The venue that Mariah & Jacob had chosen for their big day was absolutely stunning, and they had several locations that they wanted to get their portraits done at. Outdoors we visited a beautiful swing, a stunning fountain, and a gazebo! The venue also has a special room upstairs for the couple to spend the night afterwards if they’d like, but it turns out to be a fabulous place for photos as well with a gorgeous balcony, large windows, and moody lighting. We made sure to schedule time in for their portraits, and were able to visit all the spots within our timeline!
THE RECEPTION
Mariah and Jacob’s reception was gorgeous! The aesthetics of the venue fit them perfectly, and you could tell everyone was having a good time.
A few highlights: A prank that involved playing a heavy metal/rock song when the father-daughter dance was supposed to begin, the bridal party fighting and stealing money from each other during the dash for cash, the newlyweds signing their marriage license, and Mariah catching Jacob off guard during the cake cutting.
